A variety that is good for most things

Syrah is well-known to fans of Côtes du Rhône wines, especially the Cornas and Hermitage PDOs. However, people know less that it can be used to make very appealing rosé wines that are fresh and fruity. Syrah seems to be good for most things and certainly handles bubbles perfectly, because they bring out its rich red fruit and spicy aromas.

Application and expertise

To make an elegant sparkling Syrah requires thorough application and rare expertise of which Roche Mazet has the secret. It is employed when selecting wines from all over the Pays d’Oc region and in winemaking. Roche Mazet Syrah Brut Rosé requires an early harvest and careful pressing to produce its characteristic pale coral pink robe, its very fine bubbles and its tangy aromas.

Fruity bubbles

The robe of Roche Mazet Syrah Brut Rosé is a distinctively elegant coral pink with fuchsia-coloured tints and the finest of bubbles. Its nose is rich and harmonious, featuring aromas of fresh red berries, peach, vine and violets. It is fresh, yet fills the mouth, opening with tangy and spicy flavours that burst on the palate, delighting the taste buds.

Served chilled between 7° and 9°C (44° and 48°F), Roche Mazet Syrah Brut Rosé is both lively and tasty, and can be enjoyed as an aperitif, as well as with a meal. It adds sparkle to sweet and sour starters, exotic dishes and plancha-grilled king prawns, and is a fine accompaniment for red fruit or chocolate desserts.
